Early in The Month ( January 1 - January 14)
There are many beautiful sextile and trine transits on January 1st, New Year's day, that are occurring mostly in the sign of Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Because of this, anyone with a natal or progressed Sun, Moon, or Ascendant in these signs will find that bliss is an easier state of being more so than for any of the other sign of the zodiac.
Also, in the "glow" will be the sign of Virgo, with the North Node at 4º in their 1st house trine Mercury, Virgo's natal planet, in the sign of Capricorn at 2º. For many Virgos, beautiful, glorious, surprising, and romantic events are possible at this time. This aspect also occurs between the zodiac's 6th and 10th houses, representing both work and career success - uniting life direction and professional unions simultaneously. Oh, my! Any proposed or consummated mergers will be powerfully influential and or lucrative. Mercury is still retrograde, though, so communication must be clear when taking up any offers. Otherwise, I love how this feels and flows. All of us should check our individual charts for the placement of this transit; where this occurs is an indication of how this affects you. Further, positive energy will have the tailwind of the New Moon that took place on December 29th sprinkling magical fairy dust on the hopes and dreams. And should an apparent shift be delayed, many will experience a new outlook that changes their frame of mind in a way that clears the path to welcome a moment of destiny in the coming year.
Mid-Month (January 15 - January 31)
Mid-month, stressors rear-up, disturbing anyone with planets in the late degrees of Libra and Aries (18º - 25º), early degrees of Virgo and Pisces (0º - 10º), and the middle and late degrees of Capricorn (15º - 28º). At this time, transiting squares and oppositions involving Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto, and briefly the North Node, Moon, and Neptune, create sudden disruptions that impact personal confidence that may shake the foundations of professional ventures, career goals, control over the masses, as well as creating spiritual and moral conflicts. There is a prompting for evolutionary change that affects Libra's fortunes, family, and relationships. Because this is a reoccurring transit that will bounce around the 1st, 7th, and 10th houses of the zodiac and will intensify off and on for a good portion of 2017, this is a time to pause and reflect rather than react. There is some work to do for all of us where this aspect resides in each of our personal charts. Check both your birth chart and progressed chart to see how this will effect you and place a note somewhere that you can be reminded to look for growth through the trials.
As we reach the end of the month, the North Node begins a transiting inconjunction of Venus on January 21st in the signs of Pisces and Virgo - it will last throughout the month of February. Spiritual love for others will be challenged as conflicts arise. Do not let this period negatively affect your faith in the beauty of humanity or the wisdom of the soul.
